SouthSeas Blackout Cellular Shades are perfect for those seeking customizable shades with a flair of sophistication and high-quality craftsmanship. These shades come with a standard cordless lift but are available with upgrades such as magnetic-sealed Top-Down/Bottom-Up or motorization.
SouthSeas Blackout Cellular Shades are made from “spun-lace” fabrics that, in comparison to the “point-bond” materials used in lower-quality shades, offer an elevated look and feel. These shades are available in a curated spectrum of luxurious colors and feature white backings for a uniform street-side appearance. Their color-coordinated, matte-finished aluminum rails and handles offer more durability and warp-resistance than bulkier plastic options. Choose from single, double and our larger cell sizes to customize your insulation levels.
As with all SouthSeas products, you’ll get easy installation, top-tier insulation and custom light filtration and privacy levels. Plus, when raised, these shades stack neatly for a clear outdoor view.
Installation Time: 10 – 15 Minutes
We Recommend:
- Motorization offers the most convenient way to operate your shades and offers the ability for smart home automation compatible with Google Home and Alexa.
- Top-down/bottom-up gives maximum light control and privacy by allowing you to open/close the shade from either the top or the bottom.
- Double cell shades offer better insulation than single cells and are recommended for climates with extreme heat or cold.
- For larger windows, opt for 3/4-inch cells and 2-on-1 headrails.
Considerations:
- Blackout fabrics will offer complete light blockage and the most privacy.
- Inside mounted cellular shades will have a vertical light gap on the edges of the shade of roughly 1/4 inch.
- Continuous Cord Loop uses a beaded chain.
