Woven Wood Bi-Fold Doors

SouthSeas Woven Wood Bi-Folding Doors are beautifully crafted across every stage of their production process, from the selection and processing of raw materials to finished shade production.

Folding doors are ideal for large windows or sliding doors and hang vertically from hangers, which slide smoothly inside an aluminum track. Folding doors can be customized to your window opening, with left, right, and center-stacking options available. Available fullness options include 5% fullness which will open into a nearly flat fabric panel or 20% fullness which will open with fuller folds. Folding Doors offer light and privacy control with the option to add light-filtering or black-out liners. Choosing an unlined folding door can offer ultimate natural light and texture to your space, but keep in mind that unlined shades will have less privacy.

Folding door patterns are coordinated with the Natural Roman Shade patterns available in the SouthSeas Woven Wood Collection, giving you an array of natural shade pattern options for any window opening.

We Recommend:

• Adding a liner allows more privacy and light control for your shades. Fabrics with an open weave that are ordered without a liner do not offer much privacy at night. We always recommend ordering folding doors with a liner when privacy is desired.

• We recommend adding a valance. Valances are used to cover the components of the Bi-Fold Door to create a clean, finished look.

• Light-filtering liners will allow soft light into the room. Black-out liners have a room-darkening effect and will not allow light through the front of the shade.

• Folding doors are available to be finished with wood bars on either side of the fabric panel. Folding doors ordered with wood bars will have wood bars coordinated to the color of the shade fabric.

• We recommend choosing 20% fullness for your folding door, as it offers a fuller and more elegant fabric look in the window when the panel is fully extended.

Considerations:

• The natural materials used to make Woven Wood folding doors have unique variations in color, texture, and size. Colors may change over time. This adds to the natural beauty of the material and does not represent a defect.

• The natural elasticity of yarns combined with the weight of the natural woven material may cause shades to stretch upwards of 1" to 1 ½" over time. This is particularly noticeable on inside mount shades or shades that extend from ceiling to floor. This is considered a natural characteristic of the product and is not covered under warranty.
