How to Install Bali Vertical Blinds with Wand Control
Video Transcript
Vertical blinds are beautiful and easy to install. And cordless control options have been certified as best for kids by an independent lab. In this video, we'll show you how to mount your vertical blind outside your window frame step by step.
First, take a look at the installation guide that was included with your blind. Now, make sure you have all the parts and all of the tools you'll need. And, if you're installing into anything other than wood, get the appropriate screws and anchors.
First, hold one of the veins up against the wall with the bottom of the vein at the desired length, and mark the top. Measure 2 inches above that, and make another mark. Now, center and level the headrail over the window at the mark you just made, and mark the top corners. Then, measure in 4 inches, and make another mark. Hold a support bracket up to the mark you just made, and mark the location of the screw holes.
Using a 1/16-inch bit, drill pilot holes for each screw. Screw the brackets into place. Before mounting the head rail, twist all the bracket clips into their original positions, and tighten all the screws, making sure there's enough room for the veins to open and close. With the wand and vein clips on the side of your choice, snap the head rail in place by inserting the front edge into the mounting clips and rotating it back.
Next, snap the valance clips onto the headrail. To install the veins, rotate the wand until you can see through the stem slots, and push the veins up into the stems. Gently pull down on each vein to make sure it catches on the stem hook. Attach the valance corner to the channel panel and slide the valance returns into the valance corner grooves.
Now, attach the channel panel to the valance clips. Check to see if all veins are overlapped the same. If not, remove the veins and carefully reinstall them. That's it, you're done.
