Draperies 101 - What is Drapery Fullness?

Video Transcript

Fullness is the width of the fabric you use to cover your window. Getting fullness right gives you a designer look. Store-bought drapes typically have 100% fullness; 100% fabric is the exact width of the window. They look fine when open, but when closed, they are flat like a shower curtain. At Blinds.com, drapes come with 200% fullness. Fabric is twice the window width. Drapes look full even when closed. For sheers or lightweight fabrics, use up to 300% fullness. Fabric is three times the window's width.
