Roman Shade Fold Styles - Fresh Look

Video Transcript

I'm Elena from Blinds.com and today we're going to take a fresh look at the roman shade fold styles that we offer here. These are available on many of our roman shade collections that we have. The first one that we'll look at is the soft fold or the hobbled look. And what you have here are nice pretty rolls of fabric going all the way down the window. This adds to the depth of the roman shade and it's nice if you want to leave your roman shade down all the time but still have a really elegant pretty look. It also adds to the room darkening with all of the extra fabric that you have. When you pull it up, folds nicely, you don't need to straighten it out. It looks like a pretty balance when you get all the way up there. One thing to consider on this one though is the depth of your windows. It is kind of bulky. I'll show you this over here. When you look at it from the side, you'll see you've got all these extra rolls here of fabric. So it may not be a good idea for windows that don't have a lot of depth or on doors. Now, we're gonna talk about our flat fold roman shade. This is without seams. So you can see that the pattern is not interrupted, which is really good for large scale prints, geometrics, florals like this. Another good feature is that has a very slim profile. Doesn't have a lot of depth here. So good for shallow windows also good for french doors. And one thing to consider is that when you raise it up and down every day, you might need to straighten your folds. But this one is actually doing pretty good on its own. Last but not least, we have our plain fold roman shade. This has seams running every few inches up. Works really nice for solid fabrics just to give it some visual interest and a little bit of depth to the fabric. Again, since it's flat, you have a nice one profile. Great for doors. Great for windows that don't have a lot of depth. And the nice part about it with these seams is that when you raise the shade up and down the fold, stay nice. And even this is definitely our most popular roman shade. I think I saw the most of this every day. So a lot of people like this clean, classic look. And there you have it. I'm Elena and this has been a fresh look at our Blinds.com roman shade fold styles.
